Dear Colleague,
As the Symposium on Computer Animation 2006 approaches, we would like to
remind you that you can register here:
http://isg.cs.tcd.ie/SCA06/Register.html
We know that the early bird deadline is now over and that you get no
real benefit (except a free tshirt!) for registering now. However, it
would help us very much to prepare the conference if you could do so as
soon as possible.
As we understand all about reimbursements delays and other problems, we
have decided to provide you with the possibility to register now and pay
on-site, by cash or credit card.
If you prefer this option, please, fill in the form you can download
below, so that we can prepare your conference package:
http://www.cg.tuwien.ac.at/~zabador/SCA06/SCA_registration.doc
Thanks a lot for your time and effort to help us run the conference
smoothly,
Best Regards,
The SCA organising team
Dear Madame/Sir,
We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the registration
for the joint event ( CIPA / VAST / EG / Euro-Med 2006 www.cipa2006.org) has
already begun. Early registration is possible on-line
(http://www.vast2006.org/Registration_Info.html ) until the 15th of
September 2006.
The joint event for the exchange and sharing of know-how in the areas of
Cultural Heritage (CH) and Information Technology (IT) focusing on
e-documentation and Computer Graphics is an "In-service training" activity and the
participation can be funded by the European Commission Socrates/Grundtvig3
Initiative. For more information please visit the following webpage:
http://ec.europa.eu/education/programmes/socrates/grundtvig/grund3_en.html
People from the 33 European member states of the Socrates/Grundtvig3 initiative interested in receiving a grant have to contact directly their EU-Socrates National Agency and apply there for the grants:
http://ec.europa.eu/education/programmes/socrates/grundtvig/national_en.html
Each National Agency has its own deadline for submission of applications so
make sure you apply in time. However, you have to register for the joint
event before you will apply for the EU grants.
The joint event offers special hotel rates in Nicosia which are only
available through registration for the event.
We would like to remind you that there is a limited hotel room capacity for
the event in Nicosia and rooms will be distributed on a first come - first
serve basis.
Thank you very much and we look forward to meeting you in Cyprus.
Regards from Nicosia,
Marinos Ioannides

Eurographics Workshop on Sketch-based Interfaces and Modeling 2006
Vienna, Austria, 3-4 September 2006
http://www.eg.org/sbm
Registration: https://www.eg.org/egshop/jsf/user/buyticket.jsp
The 2006 Eurographics Workshop on Sketch-based Interfaces and
Modeling, held in conjunction with the 2006 Eurographics Conference,
brings together an international community of researchers working to
advance the state of the art in sketch-based interfaces and their
applications. The workshop is intended to provide an opportunity for
these researchers to share lessons learned, present new results, and
discuss open issues. The workshop also includes two invited
presentations. In the first of these, Eric Saund of the Palo Alto
Research Center presents one possible view of a "killer application"
for pen-based interfaces - games. In the second, Marc Alexa from the
Technical University of Berlin presents exciting new work in
sketch-based 3D surface design.
