* CALL FOR PAPERS * 12th Fall Workshop VISION, MODELING, AND VISUALIZATION 2007 (VMV2007) http://www.mpi-inf.mpg.de/vmv2007 November 7-9, 2007 Saarbrücken, Germany Vision, modeling, and visualization are rapidly converging disciplines. Often the three fields are treated separately, each with their own methodology, terminology, and formalism. However, in many applications they must work hand in hand - evoking cross-fertilization and new research directions. Prominent examples are image and video-based rendering, 3D-TV, and medical visualization. Also, due to the proliferation of digital photography and high-speed graphics accelerators, image-based modeling and the corresponding vision and visualization techniques have become a research topic of highest relevance. The "Vision, Modeling, and Visualization 2007" workshop addresses the entire spectrum of techniques and applications in this combined field: from data acquisition over processing to visualization, including perceptional issues. This workshop is the twelfth in a series of annual meetings organized by different research centers and groups. After highly successful meetings at various locations, this year's event will take place in Saarbrücken. The program will consist of contributed papers and poster presentations, as well as invited talks by internationally renowned speakers. Trinity College of Dublin, Ireland, 9th-10th November http://www.vriphys.org This is the fourth edition of the workshop and this year it is hosted by Trinity College, Dublin. The workshop is organized in cooperation with Eurographics. As in previous editions, the goal is to attract high level research papers in the domains of dynamic simulation and physical interaction in virtual reality environments. We also welcome papers showing on-going research with promising results and new technology with applications related focus. We particularly encourage works in the medical domain due to its strong ties to the workshop topics. This is a kind reminder that the submission deadline of the RT07 http://rt07.uni-ulm.de is on June, 14. Please submit your work by using the Eurographics SRM submission and reviewing system, which can be reached through http://egmcp1.cgv.tugraz.at/SRM_RT2007 You will have to register with the system to create an account. Please read the submission instructions carefully, they contain a lot of useful advice and a link to download the LaTeX author toolkit. Due to the automated publication procedure required by IEEE, please be prepared to create documents where all fonts (all fonts referenced in your document, even those whose characters are not used) are embedded. Posters should be submitted along with a one page document (using the LaTeX author toolkit). The poster and the document can be identical, if desired.
