Call for participation: This year the Eurographics Symposium on Rendering and High Performance Graphics will be collocated in Paris - that is 5 days of Computer Graphics! HPG will run from the 25th to the 27th, while EGSR runs from the 27th to the 29th. EGSR 2012 is the 23rd annual event in the series of very successful Eurographics Symposia on Rendering and Eurographics Workshops on Rendering. The submissions introduce novel research in a range of areas relevant to the conference; it will be certainly be an exciting series of presentations this summer in Paris. There are also demonstration opportunities, see below for more information. Introduction We are pleased to announce High-Performance Graphics 2012. High Performance Graphics is the leading international forum for performance-oriented graphics systems research including innovative algorithms, efficient implementations, and hardware architecture. The conference brings together researchers, engineers, and architects to discuss the complex interactions of massively parallel hardware, novel programming models, efficient graphics algorithms, and novel applications. High Performance Graphics was founded in 2009 to synthesize and broaden on two important and well-respected conferences in computer graphics: <http://www.graphicshardware.org/> Graphics Hardware and <http://www.sci.utah.edu/rt08/> Interactive Ray Tracing. Conference Info The conference, which will take place on June 25-27, is co-located with the <http://telecom-paristech.fr/EGSR2012/> Eurographics Symposium on Rendering in Paris, France. HPG 2012 is co-sponsored by Eurographics and ACM SIGGRAPH. The program features three days of paper and industry presentations, with ample time for discussions during breaks, lunches, and the conference banquet. The Institute of Computer Graphics at the Faculty of Technology and Natural Science at the Johannes Kepler University Linz is seeking (starting earliest July 1st, 2012) a: Scientist / Predoctoral Associate (full position, limited to 2 years) Applicants must hold a Master or Univ. Diploma degree in computer science or related fields, such as mathematics or mediainformatics, and should have profound experience in one or more of the following areas: computer graphics, information visualization, statistics, and human computer interaction. Considerable experience with software development methodology is expected. Knowledge in OpenGL is recommended. Prior involvement in research or development projects is a plus. The research focus will be on the development of novel Information Visualization and Visual Analytics techniques within interdisciplinary application fields such as biomedicine. Additional duties include the support of the acquisition of third-party funds, the collaboration in teaching, and the supervision of theses in master-, bachelor-, and diploma courses. Candidates must be fluent in English (speaking and writing). The candidate has the possibility to obtain a Ph.D. degree. EGUK TP.CG 2011: Deadline extension

The 30th Conference organised by the UK chapter of the Eurographics Association will be the tenth Theory and Practice of Computer Graphics 2012 Conference (TP.CG.12). It will take place at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory on the 13-14 September 2012, with a paper deadline of May 18th, 2012. All accepted papers will be published by Eurographics and held on the Digital Library, and will be available at the conference. The aim of the conference is to focus on theoretical and practical aspects of Computer Graphics and to bring together top practitioners, users and researchers, which will hopefully inspire further collaboration between participants particularly between academia and industry.
