Dear Eurographics Members,
we would like to announce that the deadline for EG 2020 Short Papers
submission has been prolonged by two weeks, that is, to December 20th. We
have been approached by several groups whether a deadline extension would be
possible, and have now decided to make the extension longer than just a
week. The idea is of course that this extension of course mainly helps those
who are already working on something, and who need extra time.
But if you are reading this, and have some already conducted research lying
around which would theoretically make a nice short paper, and which you just
have not yet written up in sufficient form, then two weeks actually gives
you at least some chance of getting this done, if you are spontaneous
enough.
We hope the longer deadline extension looks tempting to all those out there
who were just too busy right before the original deadline, but who could
write something up now!

Call for Short Papers
Authors are invited to submit short papers [4 pages max] which present
self-contained and complete works in all areas related to computer graphics,
such as rendering, modelling, visualisation, animation, simulation, virtual
reality, computer vision, computer-aided design, digital fabrication and
imaging. We particularly invite submissions which present tangible and
practically useful improvements to the state of the art, but which are not
thematically wide enough to justify an entire full paper. What we would like
to see as short papers are individual smart ideas and intriguing findings
that might otherwise remain unpublished, due to them standing in isolation -
as opposed to falling within the context of some larger scientific
endeavour, where they can be easily mentioned in the corresponding
publication. Accepted short papers will be published in the Short Papers
digital media proceedings and in the Eurographics Digital Library. Authors
of accepted papers will be expected to present their work as an oral
presentation at the conference.
Submission Dates
Short Paper Submission: December 6, 2019
Author Notification: February 12, 2020
Camera-ready version: March 2, 2020
