EG TUTORIALS 2022

Call for contributions
The Eurographics2022 Tutorials Committee invites you to propose tutorials
teaching the technical background of a given subject or demonstrating its
potential creative applications. Tutorials are intended to show what can be
done, but even more importantly, how this is done and what kind of tools can
be used to do it. In a proposal for a tutorial, you should consider that
tutorial attendees come from diverse backgrounds, ranging from research and
development to education and application.
We are soliciting half-day and full-day tutorial proposals at the beginning,
intermediate, or advanced level in all areas pertinent to Computer Graphics.
Half-day tutorials are about three hours, plus a coffee break in the middle.
Full-day tutorials are twice that long, plus two coffee breaks and a longer
lunch break. Full-day tutorials should be motivated by sufficient scientific
material. Tutorial proposals are about 4-5 pages in length, clearly
indicating the audience that is addressed as well as the syllabus of
instruction. They will be reviewed by the tutorial chairs, supported by
external reviewers. The final selection will be based on the quality of the
submission, qualification of the presenters, relevance to the conference
topics, and balance of topics.
Digital support of accepted tutorials will be made available to every
Eurographics registered participant and will also be included in the
Eurographics digital library. Eurographics does not require copyright for
the tutorial notes it publishes. The tutorial speakers may reuse their
material freely. For each accepted tutorial, one free registration is
provided per half-day of that tutorial.

reprints of earlier papers (subject to copyright approval), slides, videos,
software, datasets, and any other material the authors consider useful. The
acceptance of tutorial proposals is contingent upon the final submission of
complete course notes. Upon acceptance of the tutorial, additional material
should be submitted using the same link in the SRM system as for submitting
the proposal.
All course notes of accepted tutorials will be distributed to conference

Call for Papers
The Eurographics Symposium on Parallel Graphics and Visualization (EGPGV)
aims to foster the exchange of experiences and knowledge on exploiting and
defining new trends in parallel graphics and visualization. This area is of
growing importance due to the rapidly increasing availability of multi-core
CPUs, GPUs, and cluster systems. Computationally demanding and
data-intensive applications in graphics and visualization are strongly
affected by this trend and require novel, efficient parallel solutions.
EGPGV has two submission deadlines: early submission in December and regular
submission typically in February. This offers authors the flexibility to
choose between two separate submission deadlines. The early submission
deadline also provides the opportunity of improving manuscripts and
resubmitting them to the regular deadline in case they are not successful in
the early review phase, resembling a major revision review process. An FAQ
about the early submission process can be found at the bottom of this email.
Please notice also that this year there are again abstract deadlines one
week in advance to the paper deadlines.
EGPGV 2022 will take place on June 13, 2022, and be co-located with EuroVis
2022, held June 13-17, 2022, in Rome, Italy.
The proceedings of EGPGV will be published in the Eurographics Proceedings
Series and in the Eurographics Digital Library. Best papers from the EGPGV
symposium will be invited to submit an extended journal version to IEEE
Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics.
EGPGV seeks papers on graphics and visualization that involve any type of
parallel computing, and/or focus on very large data sets. Papers on
techniques, data structures, algorithms, systems, and applications are
welcomed. Parallel computing is broadly defined, including high-performance
computing and cloud environments, (multi-)GPU computing and heterogeneous,
hybrid architectures, and shared and/or distributed memory architectures.
Further, papers focused on processing very large data sets (either for
visualization or graphics) are welcomed, even if they do not have a
particular focus on parallelism.
Typical symposium topics include:
- Computationally and data-intensive rendering
- Scientific visualization (e.g., volume, flow, and tensor visualization)
- Information visualization and visual analytics
- In situ analytics and in situ visualization
- Out-of-core processing of large data sets for visualization or graphics
- Simulations for virtual environments (physics-based animation, collision
detection, acoustics)
- Mesh processing, level-of-detail, and geometric methods
- Visual computing (image- and video-based rendering, image processing and
exploitation, segmentation)
- Scheduling, memory management, and data coherence
- Parallelization approaches and algorithms, such as MapReduce
- Database-related methods, algorithms or approaches, and query-based
visualization
- Advanced hardware for data handling or visualization
- Large and high-resolution displays, virtual environments
- Scientific, engineering, and industrial applications
- Data analytics on large scientific data sets
- Machine learning as applied to parallel graphics, visualization and/or
large data analytics
In general, appropriate topics for the symposium fall into one of four
categories:
(1) parallel graphics,
(2) rendering of very large data sets,
(3) parallel visualization and analytics, and
(4) processing of large data sets for visualization or analytics.

FAQ on Early Submission:
Q: What happens if my paper is accepted in the early submission review
cycle?
A: Your paper will have the exact same status as any paper accepted during
the regular submission review cycle. It will appear in the proceedings and
you will present your paper at EGPGV22.
Q: Who can benefit from the early submission process?
A: There are benefits whether the paper is accepted or not accepted. For
accepted papers, the benefit is in getting acceptance earlier and having
more time for, e.g., travel organization. For multiple minor revisions,
major revisions, and rejected papers, the benefit is in effectively adding a
revision cycle, i.e., getting feedback from the early submission and then
submitting the revised paper to the regular submission deadline.
Q: If I do not submit to the early submission deadline, can I still submit
to the regular submission deadline?
A: Yes, you can absolutely submit to only the regular submission deadline.
Q: What is the timeline for the regular submission deadline?
A: We are still in discussions with Eurographics with respect to
camera-ready deadlines. Traditionally, EGPGV has a submission deadline of
late February and a notification of early April. We expect the timeline for
the regular submissions to match this traditional schedule.
Q: What paths can an early submission take?
- It might be accepted straightaway on January 24.
- It could be conditionally accepted on January 24, which would require a
revision on February 7. This could result in an accept, another conditional
accept, or a reject on February 14. In case of another conditional accept,
the revision will be due at the regular submission deadline. In case of a
reject, the work can be resubmitted as new at the regular submission
deadline.
- It could receive a major revision decision on January 24, which would be
due at the regular submission deadline.
- It could be rejected on January 24. In this case, the work can still be
resubmitted as new at the regular submission deadline.

EuroVis 2022 Call for Papers
With this call for papers, we invite submission of high-quality papers that
will set the standard and stimulate future trends in the field of
visualization and visual analytics. Accepted full papers will be published
in a special issue of Computer Graphics Forum, the International Journal of
the Eurographics Association, after a two-stage peer-reviewing process. All
accepted papers will be presented orally at the conference. EuroVis 2022 (

13-17, 2022.
We encourage submissions from all areas of visualization and visual
analytics.
Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:
* Techniques: novel algorithms, visual encoding methods, and/or
interaction techniques for data analysis, exploration, or communication. All
sub-areas of data visualization and visual analytics are welcomed, including
high-dimensional, time-series, spatial, geographic, text, hierarchical, and
network data. Techniques may be specialized for specific devices or
form-factors (e.g., mobile or wall-scale visualization).
* Systems: new software frameworks, languages, or tools for
visualization; systems for large-scale visualization; integrated graphical
systems for visual analysis or interactive machine learning; collaborative
and web-scale visualization systems.
* Applications & Design Studies: novel use of visualization to address
problems in an application domain, including accounts of innovative system
design, deployment and impact. We welcome diverse application areas,
including the physical sciences, life sciences, social sciences,
engineering, arts, sports, and humanities.
* Evaluation & Empirical Research: Comparative evaluation of competing
visualization approaches; controlled experiments to inform visualization
best practices; longitudinal and qualitative studies to understand user
needs, visualization adoption, and use.
* Theory: models of visual encoding, interaction, and/or analysis
tasks; implications from theories of perception, cognition, design, and/or

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
The maximum length for submitted papers to the full papers track is 10 pages
(in Computer Graphics Forum (CGF) style, including all images, but excluding
references). Authors are encouraged to use supplementary documents to
provide extra content. Papers exceeding the maximum allowed number of pages
will be automatically rejected.
Submissions must be made using the Computer Graphics Forum style, using the
conference LaTeX template for full papers. A LaTeX style sheet and overleaf
template will be provided as well as a sample document explaining the
required format.
Authors have the option to submit their papers anonymously. In contrast to
previous years, double-blind reviewing is optional, not required: authors
may choose to disclose their identities to the reviewers. The reviewing
process does not consider anonymity as a factor. The process will attempt to
preserve anonymity of authors of anonymized submissions. However, the
program committee, which is responsible for half of the reviews, will know
the authors of submissions reviewed by them.
Authors have the option of submitting additional material with their
submissions. Supplementary materials, such as videos and supporting data,
are encouraged. For papers that have previously been reviewed for other
venues and have been rejected or withdrawn, the authors are strongly
encouraged to provide the original submission with a cover letter describing
the changes they have made to comply with reviewers' comments and requests.
All full papers accepted to EuroVis appear in a special issue of Computer
Graphics Forum, containing the conference proceedings, and will appear at
the same time in the Eurographics digital library.

Call for contributions
State-of-the-Art Reports (STARs) provide an up-to-date and comprehensive overview of a special topic of current interest related to Computer Graphics. We welcome submissions on all topics relevant to EUROGRAPHICS, and particularly encourage STARs on topics that have not been covered in any recent edition. STAR reports on cross-sectional, multi-disciplinary areas are also highly welcomed. A STAR can also address the use of Computer Graphics techniques in a different scientific discipline or in industrial practice. For examples of suitable STAR topics, please refer to the EUROGRAPHICS digital library. A list of recent STARs can be found <https://sites.google.com/site/drminchen/cgf-info/cgf-stars> here.
Accepted STARs will be published in a special issue of Computer Graphics Forum, which appears right before the EUROGRAPHICS conference. The journal status of the proceedings requires a two-stage review process with conditional acceptance after the first round and final acceptance based on the revised submissions. Submissions needing a major revision will be transferred to the standard submission track of Computer Graphics Forum.
At EUROGRAPHICS 2022, the authors of a STAR will be given 90 minutes to present the report at a level that allows non-experts in the particular domain to follow the presentation.
We do not impose strict maximum lengths for these submissions. However, it is recommended that papers be up to 20 pages excluding references and the authors’ short bios, to conform to the general recommendation for CGF survey papers.
Electronic submissions of STARs are mandatory and will be conducted using the Submission and Review Management System. Call for EuroGraphics 2022 Doctoral Consortium Submissions
The Eurographics Doctoral Consortium is a networking event that provides PhD
students, working in all areas of computer graphics, with an excellent
opportunity to present their work and interact with distinguished and
experienced researchers in the field. They will receive feedback and
mentoring, as well as a different perspective from senior researchers
outside their home institution. In addition, the Doctoral Consortium
provides a unique forum for PhD students to share their work and experience
among their fellow PhD students. The Doctoral Consortium will take place
within the Eurographics2022 conference, April 25-29, 2022.
Who should apply?
PhD students working in all areas of computer graphics are encouraged to
apply. We particularly encourage applications from students who are in the
first half of their PhD work, especially those who already have a clear
research direction (possibly with some published results), as they have
sufficient time ahead to profit from their participation in the Doctoral
Consortium. Students who are close to finishing their doctorate degree, or
have very recently finished it, are also welcome to share their experience
and to discuss their ongoing research and future research plans.
The applicants are strongly encouraged to consider submitting a poster of
their work to the poster track in parallel.

Eligible Doctoral Consortium students who would like to participate in the

include:
* university doctoral program context in which the work is being
conducted, including starting date and expected graduation date;
* motivation that drives the dissertation research;
* research objectives/questions;
* background and related work that informs the authors research;
* research approach, methodology and proposed experiments (where
appropriate);
* dissertation status and a description of the remaining work;
* current and expected contributions.
The research statement should transcend the scope of a single publication or
project, and instead focus on the general research theme or agenda for the
students PhD thesis.
2. Supervisors letter of support: A one-page signed letter from the PhD
students supervisor, supporting her/his participation in the Doctoral
Consortium, and providing the following information:
* the students status with respect to the institutions PhD
requirements;
* the expected date of thesis/dissertation defense or graduation;
* why attendance at this Doctoral Consortium would be particularly
beneficial to the student;
* what contributions the student is likely to make to the event if
invited to attend.
3. Curriculum vitae: A 1-2 pages CV plus the list of all publications.
All three documents must be written in English.
Review Process
The review process is single-anonymous. The review and decision of
acceptance will take into account: (1) Quality of the submission (potential
contribution and impact of the research to the field of computer graphics)
and the authors stage of doctoral research; (2) the benefits of the
consortium for the authors PhD research; (3) the authors contribution to
the diversity of topics, backgrounds and profiles that will integrate the
Consortium.
Each accepted author will be paired with a panelist, a senior researcher in
her/his research field, with whom they will be interacting in a one-to-one
manner.
Participation
All authors of accepted submissions are expected to attend the Doctoral
Consortium, where they will present their work to a panel of experts,
selected by the Doctoral Consortium co-chairs to match at best the topics
related to the accepted submissions.
The doctoral consortium event will be a closed event with only the authors
and the panelists present. The authors will start by presenting their work
(around 10 minutes each) followed by discussion with the panelists and other
authors. Afterwards, there will be time for one-to-one discussions between
each author and their paired panelist.

Eurographics'2022 - Call for Short Papers

Authors are invited to submit short papers [4 pages max] that present self-contained, complete, compact works on all areas related to computer graphics, such as rendering, modeling, visualization, animation, simulation, virtual reality, computer vision, computer-aided design, digital fabrication, imaging and computational photography. We particularly invite submissions which present tangible and practically useful improvements to the state of the art, but which are not thematically wide enough to justify an entire full paper. What we would like to see as short papers are individual smart ideas and intriguing findings that might otherwise remain unpublished, due to them standing in isolation – as opposed to falling within the context of some larger scientific endeavour, where they can be easily mentioned in the corresponding publication.
Accepted short papers will be published in the Short Papers digital media proceedings and in the Eurographics Digital Library. Authors of accepted papers will be expected to present their work as an oral presentation at the conference.

Submitted papers must be anonymous, up to 4 pages in length, and formatted according to the Eurographics Author’s guidelines (short papers LaTeX style package available from the <https://srmv2.eg.org/COMFy/Conference/EG_2021/Instruction> SRM system).
Authors of accepted papers will present a super short summary or a teaser during a fast-forward session. This presentation will be around 25 seconds (exact length to be decided) and shall be augmented by slides. To ensure a smooth organization, they will be asked to prepare a short video of the slides for this purpose, in two versions: one with the spoken text and one without. These FF presentations will be available on the web throughout the conference. Details will be sent to accepted paper authors.
Plagiarism
A submission to the Eurographics Short Papers program should describe an original work of the authors. Authors must not use ideas or content originating from others without properly crediting their original sources. Note that such sources are not limited to peer-reviewed publications but also include patents, textbooks, technical reports, theses, unpublished work posted on arXiv, and other posts on the World Wide Web. Failure to comply with this requirement will be considered plagiarism and result in rejection.
Prior Art
Authors are expected to cite, discuss differences and novelty, and compare results, if applicable, with respect to relevant existing publications, provided they have been published in a peer-reviewed venue.
This also applies to patents, which also undergo a professional reviewing process. But what about technical reports, and other non-peer-reviewed publications, such as technical reports or papers posted on arXiv, which we henceforth refer to as pre-publications? With the rapid progress of search engines and the increased perusal of arXiv papers by the scientific community, asking authors to thoroughly compare their work to these pre-publications imposes an unreasonable burden — a seemingly relevant report that is incomplete in its disclosure or validation might appear online shortly before the deadline. Although peer-reviewed publications are certainly not immune to these shortcomings, they have, at least, been judged sufficiently complete and valid by a group of peers. Consequently, authors are not required to discuss and compare their work with recent pre-publications (arXiv, technical reports, theses, etc.), although they must properly cite those that inspired them (see “Plagiarism” above). Nevertheless, we encourage authors to mention all related works they are aware of as good academic practice dictates. Note that with new works posted on arXiv on a daily basis, it is increasingly likely that reviewers might point out similarities between the submitted work and online reports that have been missed by the authors. In this case, authors of conditionally accepted papers should be prepared to cite these pre-publications in their final revision as concurrent work, without the burden of having to detail how their work compares to or differs from these pre-publications.
Double Submission Policy
By submitting a manuscript to the Eurographics Short Papers program, authors acknowledge that the technical contributions they claim have not been previously published or accepted for publication in another peer-reviewed venue, and that no manuscript substantially similar in content is currently under review. Violations constitute grounds for rejection.

EG TUTORIALS 2022
Call for contributions
The Eurographics2022 Tutorials Committee invites you to propose tutorials
teaching the technical background of a given subject or demonstrating its
potential creative applications. Tutorials are intended to show what can be
done, but even more importantly, how this is done and what kind of tools can
be used to do it. In a proposal for a tutorial, you should consider that
tutorial attendees come from diverse backgrounds, ranging from research and
development to education and application.
We are soliciting half-day and full-day tutorial proposals at the beginning,
intermediate, or advanced level in all areas pertinent to Computer Graphics.
Half-day tutorials are about three hours, plus a coffee break in the middle.
Full-day tutorials are twice that long, plus two coffee breaks and a longer
lunch break. Full-day tutorials should be motivated by sufficient scientific
material. Tutorial proposals are about 4-5 pages in length, clearly
indicating the audience that is addressed as well as the syllabus of
instruction. They will be reviewed by the tutorial chairs, supported by
external reviewers. The final selection will be based on the quality of the
submission, qualification of the presenters, relevance to the conference
topics, and balance of topics.
Digital support of accepted tutorials will be made available to every
Eurographics registered participant and will also be included in the
Eurographics digital library. Eurographics does not require copyright for
the tutorial notes it publishes. The tutorial speakers may reuse their
material freely. For each accepted tutorial, one free registration is
provided per half-day of that tutorial.

Call for Full Papers
The EUROGRAPHICS 2022 Full Papers Program will showcase innovative
research in Computer Graphics and related areas. We invite submissions
of new ideas and encourage all forms of research creativity and
originality. We are interested in the practice, experience, novel
applications, technological, system, or theoretical papers, with the
ambition of setting the standard in the field and stimulating future
trends.
Accepted full papers will be presented at EUROGRAPHICS 2022 and
published in a special issue of the Eurographics journal Computer
Graphics Forum; the submissions will undergo a double-blind two-step
review process. We encourage submissions from all areas related to
computer graphics, including but not limited to rendering, modeling,
animation, simulation, visualization, virtual and augmented reality,
display technology, image processing, computational imaging,
computational fabrication, human-computer interaction, and deep learning
techniques applied to graphics problems. Eurographics Full Papers will
be published in the EG Digital Library. Also, Gold Open Access will be
available with an extra publication fee that includes open access fee
and support through the EG Digital Library.
Eurographics 2022 will be hosted in Reims on April 25th-29th, 2022.
Located in the heart of the city, the Reims Convention Centre is a
privileged site with a contemporary design. Open onto a landscaped park,
the Convention Center also offers participants the opportunity to walk
to the TGV Centre station, the main hotels, the pedestrian area, shops,
and restaurants.
Participants of Eurographics 2022 will be able to attend presentations
of the latest advances in computer graphics and imaging from the
research and industry experts. It is also going to be a great
opportunity to meet with international researchers in the domain and
socialize around the conference social events.

Submission dates
A preliminary abstract is due by 23:59 UTC, September 26, 2021, and the
full paper deadline is 23:59 UTC, October 3, 2021. Note that a full
paper can only be submitted if an abstract has been submitted by the
abstract deadline.
Submission details
Electronic submission of all papers is mandatory and will be conducted
using the Submission and Review Management (SRMv2) system. Papers must
be written in English, must be anonymized, and must be formatted
according to the Eurographics Computer Graphics Forum guidelines. The
publication guidelines and LaTeX templates are available on SRMv2.
Accepted papers must be presented orally in English at Eurographics
2022. Review of full papers is based on a double-blind reviewing
approach, so please be sure to remove all personal data (such as
authors, affiliations, etc.) from your submission. References to your
own work should be made in the third person to maintain anonymity.
Reviewers are asked to keep confidential all materials sent to them for
evaluation.
There is no maximum length imposed on papers. However, papers should
only be as long as they need to be, but not longer. Reviewers might rank
submissions perceived as being either repetitive or unnecessarily long
lower than they would score concisely written papers.
Authors of accepted papers will present a very short summary or a teaser
during a fast-forward session. This presentation will be around 25
seconds and can be augmented by slides. To ensure a smooth organization,
they will be asked to prepare a short video of the slides for this
purpose, in two versions: one with the spoken text and one without.
Details will be sent to accepted paper authors.
Plagiarism
A submission to the Eurographics Full Papers program should describe the
original work of the authors. Authors must not use ideas or content
originating from others without properly crediting their original
sources. Note that such sources are not limited to peer-reviewed
publications but also include patents, textbooks, technical reports,
theses, unpublished work posted on arXiv, and other posts on the World
Wide Web. Failure to comply with this requirement will be considered
plagiarism and result in rejection.
Prior Art
Authors are expected to cite, discuss differences and novelty, and
compare results, if applicable, with respect to relevant existing
publications, provided they have been published in a peer-reviewed
venue. This also applies to patents, which also undergo a professional
reviewing process. But what about technical reports, and other
non-peer-reviewed publications, such as technical reports or papers
posted on arXiv, which we henceforth refer to as pre-publications? With
the rapid progress of search engines and the increased perusal of arXiv
papers by the scientific community, asking authors to thoroughly compare
their work to these pre-publications imposes an unreasonable burden — a
seemingly relevant report that is incomplete in its disclosure or
validation might appear online shortly before the deadline. Although
peer-reviewed publications are certainly not immune to these
shortcomings, they have, at least, been judged sufficiently complete and
valid by a group of peers. Consequently, authors are not required to
discuss and compare their work with recent prepublications (arXiv,
technical reports, theses, etc.), although they must properly cite those
that inspired them (see “Plagiarism” above). Nevertheless, we encourage
authors to mention all related works they are aware of as good academic
practice dictates. Note that with new works posted on arXiv on a daily
basis, it is increasingly likely that reviewers might point out
similarities between the submitted work and online reports that have
been missed by the authors. In this case, authors of conditionally
accepted papers should be prepared to cite these pre-publications in
their final revision as concurrent work, without the burden of having to
detail how their work compares to or differs from these
pre-publications. When authors cite previous work that they have
authored, the citation should be in the third person to preserve
anonymity. There are, however, situations where such prior work should
not be cited. This is the case if these prior works correspond to
prepublications of the submission (arXiv), with largely similar content.
In this case, it must be ensured that no publicity related to the
publication is available on the web.
arXiv policy
As authors, putting a submission on a repository like arXiv is allowed,
either before submission or during the review cycle. There is no penalty
for publishing a submission as a prepublication. However, if there are
largely overlapping prepublications of the same authors that are
available online at the time of submission (arXiv), earlier or largely
similar versions of the submission should not be cited in the submission
because this would identify the authors. This is consistent with the
submission guidelines at SIGGRAPH and CVPR/ECCV/ICCV. If an author is
applying for jobs during the review cycle, it is allowed, as an
exception, to list a submission as ‘under review at Eurographics’ in the
author’s CV.
After submission, the authors should try to preserve the anonymity of
the submission. Authors must not discuss the submitted research with
social or regular media that includes blogs and news articles, as well
as publicize via media segments of universities and/or research
institutes. Please do not advertise the work on social media or list it
on web pages as ‘under review at Eurographics’.
Double Submission Policy
By submitting a manuscript to the Eurographics Full Papers program,
authors acknowledge that the technical contributions they claim have not
been previously published or accepted for publication in another
peer-reviewed venue and that no manuscript substantially similar in
content is currently under review. Violations constitute grounds for
rejection.
Re-submitted Material
For papers that have previously been reviewed by other venues and have
been rejected or withdrawn, the authors are encouraged to provide a
cover letter to describe the history of the paper (however, this does
not imply reviewer continuity). This cover letter can also answer the
comments made in the previous reviews, by either listing the changes
that were made to comply with them or discussing/rebutting/clarifying
some elements if need be. Though not mandatory, this procedure is
strongly encouraged. The cover letter has to be submitted through SRM as
an ‘Additional Attachment’ (see the last section of the SRM upload form
for details).
Graphics Replicability Stamp Initiative
Authors who are willing to go one step further toward replicability of
their contributed algorithm and provide a complete open-source
implementation can get additional recognition via submission to the
Graphics Replicability Stamp Initiative (see
http://www.replicabilitystamp.org/). All articles published in the
Computer Graphics Forum are eligible to apply for the stamp.
Rebuttal, Notification, Publication, and Prizes
• The reviews will be made available to the authors on November 17,
2021. During a rebuttal period from November 17 to November 24, 2021,
authors will be able to submit a brief document to address any factual
errors or clarify any issues raised by reviews.
• The date for notification of the results of the first round of the
review process is December 9, 2021.
• Revised versions of papers conditionally accepted in the first round
must be submitted by January 17, 2022.
• The final notification of the outcome of the second reviewing round
will be made on February 3, 2022.
• The camera-ready version of accepted papers will be due on February
17, 2022.
• From all accepted and presented papers, an international jury will
select the best papers. The best paper will receive the Günter Enderle
Award, including a cash prize of €1,000, presented at Eurographics 2022.

---PhD position in Image Processing in Cryo Electron Tomography (MPI of
Biophysics, Frankfurt)---
The Image Processing group

Planck Institute of Biophysics (Frankfurt am Main, Germany) aims to
facilitate in situ structural analysis by developing novel algorithms for
cryo electron tomography and subtomogram averaging. Our method development
focuses on integrating contextual information provided either directly
within the tomogram or by other sources (molecular dynamics, mass
spectrometry) into subtomogram averaging routines (for examples, see our
latest work on in situ structural analysis of Sars-CoV-2:

We seek to recruit a PhD Candidate (f/m/d) in Image Processing.
Applicants should hold a Master degree in computer science, visual
computing, applied mathematics, physics, biophysics, or a related field.

The Departments of Molecular Sociology (Beck and Turonova Labs) and
Theoretical Biophysics (Hummer Lab) study the structure and function of
macromolecular assemblies with a focus on in situ structural biology and
molecular modeling (for examples, see our latest work on in situ
structural analysis of Sars-CoV-2; DOI:

recent award from the Chan Zuckerberg Foundation, we seek to recruit a
postdoc (f/m/d) in image processing for a project in Visual Proteomics
that aims to detect macromolecular species in cryo electron tomograms.
Applicants should hold a PhD degree in computer science, image processing,
computer vision, visual computing, applied mathematics, physics, or
related field. The ideal candidates will have experience in one or more of
