Call for papers
Important Changes from past years: new, visa-friendly deadline in mid-February. Details below
SGP is the premier venue for disseminating research ideas and cutting-edge results in geometry processing. In this research area, concepts from mathematics, computer science, and engineering are developed and applied to offer insights into and to design efficient algorithms for acquisition, modeling, analysis, manipulation, simulation, and other types of processing of 3D models and shape collections.
We invite submissions related to, but not limited to, the following topics:
* Acquisition and reconstruction
* Analysis and fabrication for 3D printing
* Architectural geometry
* Computational geometry
* Differentiable rendering
* Discrete differential geometry
* Exploration of shape collections
* Geometry and topology data structures and representations
* Geometry compression
* Geometric deep learning
* Geometric representations for machine learning
* Geometry processing applications
* Interactive techniques
* Meshing and remeshing
* Multiresolution modeling
* Multimodal shape processing
* Neural shape representations
* Point cloud acquisition and processing
* Processing of massive geometric datasets
* Shape analysis and synthesis
* Simulation and animation
* Smoothing, filtering, and denoising
* Surface and volume parameterization and deformation
Dataset Papers
SGP encourages submission of dataset papers to the technical papers program. Geometric datasets play a critical role in evaluating the behavior of geometric algorithms, and in recent years they have provided challenging examples that have driven the field forward. We seek papers that build on this success by providing, documenting, and discussing datasets with larger, more challenging examples than those seen before—or datasets that capture new challenges in geometry processing.
The SGP proceedings will appear as a regular electronic issue of Computer Graphics Forum, the International Journal of the EUROGRAPHICS Association. The journal status of the proceedings requires a two-stage review process with conditional acceptance after the first round and final acceptance based on the revised submissions.
[NEW THIS YEAR] For its 2025 edition, SGP uses a double deadline format to provide more researchers with enough time to obtain a visa to attend the conference without penalizing authors who may want to submit to our usual mid-Spring deadline. Authors who choose to submit by the first deadline will receive a notification of acceptance in mid March, and can readily register to the conference and apply for a visa. A paper submitted to the first deadline and rejected can be resubmitted to the second one. All accepted papers will appear in the same Computer Graphics Forum special issue, independently of the deadline they were submitted by.
The new timeline is as follows:
First (visa-friendly) round of submissions
- Abstract submission: <canary:event?ts=760381205.00> Feb 4, 2025 (recommended)
- Paper submission: <canary:event?ts=760640405.00> Feb 7, 2025
- Notification of acceptance: <canary:event?ts=763747205.00> March 15, 2025
- Revised version due: <canary:event?ts=764956805.00> March 29, 2025
- Camera ready due: <canary:event?ts=765561605.00> April 5, 2025

Awards and Recognitions
Following its traditions, SGP 2025 will attribute three best paper awards, a software award recognising the authors of an open-source software that has greatly influenced the field, and a data set award designed to acknowledge the suppliers of high quality datasets used in geometry processing. In addition, SGP may provide papers with the reproducibility stamp to recognise the effort of researchers who, in addition to publishing their paper at SGP 2025, provide a complete open-source implementation of their algorithm.

(*) A big thanks to Federico Ponchio for implementing the web site.
Expressive 2025 ( <http://expressive.graphics/2025/> http://expressive.graphics/2025/) will take place in London, UK, on May 12th 2025 - co-located with Eurographics 2025.
The Expressive Symposium explores the capacity of computer graphics, animation, and computational media to be used in artistic, aesthetic, and creative ways. The field can be seen as encompassing problems in expressive understanding, expressive communication, and expressive interaction:
* Expressive understanding integrates aspects of computer science, philosophy, psychology, and the fine, applied, and performing arts, investigating theoretical approaches that further our understanding of aesthetic evaluation, perception and meaning.
* Expressive communication focuses on imagery and motion, which is expressive rather than photorealistic, although it may incorporate realistic elements.
* Expressive interaction explores models, algorithms, and technologies for sketch-based and XR interfaces, particularly classifying and recognizing hand-drawn shapes as a way to create or edit digital models, text, mathematics, or 3D shapes.
Paper submissions are invited across the broad range of areas covered by Expressive. We welcome papers in several categories: Research: New algorithms, scientific studies, analysis, or data (i.e., traditional academic papers).
* Research papers must contain novel results that substantially contribute to the field.
* Production: Candid discussion of creating a work (e.g., film, image, game) or developing a tool (e.g., paint or CAD program, software library). We are equally interested in papers on using existing techniques combined in novel ways or their application in a new or unusual context.
* Creative: Descriptions of original creative projects or analyses of expressive techniques used in artworks, performances, or computational design projects. Creative papers should highlight artistic innovation, and we encourage artists submitting to the Expressive 2025 Art Exhibition also to submit a creative paper describing their project.
* Meta: Research statements that do not contain new results, e.g.: grand challenges, position papers, evaluation standards, surveys, and primers on art/aesthetics/psychophysics for a computer science audience. We welcome papers that discuss the challenges of bridging computational expression across disciplines.
Submissions can also overlap more than one of these categories.
At Expressive 2025, the Technical Papers program will have two integrated paper tracks: Journal (Elsevier Computers & Graphics) and Conference.
The papers can be submitted through:
- Elsevier Computers and Graphics submission portal (Link: <https://www.editorialmanager.com/cag/default.aspx> https://www.editorialmanager.com/cag/default.aspx - Note: please select VSI: Expressive Media 2025). After reviews, the best papers will be retained for publication in the C&G journal, while other high-quality papers that do not reach the C&G bar will be redirected to the conference paper track. The submitted papers must be anonymous and formatted according to the C&G guidelines. There is no strict page limit, but the length should justify the contribution.
- SRM submission system (Link: <https://srmv2.eg.org/COMFy/Conference/Expressive_WICED_2025> https://srmv2.eg.org/COMFy/Conference/Expressive_WICED_2025) - The papers submitted through SRM will only be considered for the conference track. Conference Info
High-Performance Graphics is co-sponsored by ACM SIGGRAPH and Eurographics. The program features three days of paper and industry presentations.
The conference will be in-person this year (with an online component) and will take place from June 23-25, 2025 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The conference will be co-located with the Eurographics Symposium on Rendering (EGSR), held immediately before that conference.
Papers Track
In general, we welcome any paper that resonates with the “High Performance Graphics” theme. We invite original and innovative performance-oriented contributions to the design of algorithms and hardware architectures, for all areas of graphics in the broadest sense, including rasterization, ray tracing, diffusion graphics, virtual and augmented reality, physics, and animation.
More specifically, topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
* Graphics hardware and software systems, and distributed computing for graphics
* Ray tracing hardware, data structures, algorithms, and optimizations
* Mobile, embedded, integrated, and low-power graphics
* Physically-based rendering and inverse rendering
* Machine learning and computer vision techniques with applications in graphics
* Generative AI and diffusion-based graphics, applications, and optimizations
* Point-based rendering, radiance caching, and novel view synthesis
* Compression and bandwidth optimizations for graphics pipelines
* Geometry processing, procedural generation, and tessellation
* Programming models, languages, and compilation techniques for graphics
* Efficient visualization, vector graphics, simulation, and animation
* Image postprocessing, e.g. denoising, upsampling and ambient occlusion
* Perception-based metrics and optimizations
* Virtual and augmented reality, and emerging display technologies
It is sometimes difficult to describe exactly which papers are ideal for a specific conference. When in doubt, please contact this year’s paper chairs, Aaron Knoll and Christoph Peters. You can reach us at <mailto:papers@highperformancegraphics.org> papers(a)highperformancegraphics.org.
Paper Length and Format
Published proceedings will be archived in the Eurographics Digital Library. Furthermore, a curated selection of accepted papers will be featured in a special issue of the Eurographics Computer Graphics Forum (CGF) journal. CGF papers will be selected based on reviewer recommendations, the outcome of a second review cycle, and HPG committee deliberation.
There is no fixed maximum length for a paper. However, the magnitude of the contribution must be proportional to the length of the paper. Papers longer than 10 typeset pages in the final format must make a very significant contribution to be accepted. Writing plays an important role in the assessment. Omitting important details or tampering with formatting rules may cause a paper to be graded lower than a longer paper that is clearly written, without being repetitive or verbose.
We encourage the use of supplemental material for ancillary content such as videos, image comparisons, or source code.
Submission Guidelines
Submissions should use SRM, which includes format information for Eurographics. These format requirements match that of Computer Graphics Forum, so curated papers should not need modification before publication.
Reviews will be double-blind. We request that authors do not include their names, affiliations, or other identifying information in manuscripts under consideration. We try to be as permissive as possible while still taking all reasonable steps to preserve anonymity during the review process. Please do not make public statements on the submission status of your paper until acceptance has been confirmed. Before your paper is accepted:
* You may upload a version of your submission, for example as a technical report or to arXiv (or similar services), but please do not mention HPG.
* You may give presentations about your work, without saying it is submitted to HPG.
One author of each accepted paper is expected to register for the conference and to present the work in person.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via <mailto:papers@highperformancegraphics.org> papers(a)highperformancegraphics.org. The Eurographics Symposium on Geometry Processing (SGP) 2025 will be held in Bilbao (Basque Country / Spain) on 30 June - 4 July, 2025. The SGP graduate school will offer tutorials taught by leading experts on 30 June - 1 July. Conference website: https://sgp2025.my.canva.site/
* Acquisition and reconstruction
* Analysis and fabrication for 3D printing
* Architectural geometry

- Abstract submission: Feb 4, 2025 (recommended)
- Paper submission: Feb 7, 2025
- Notification of acceptance: March 15, 2025
- Revised version due: March 29, 2025
- Camera ready due: April 5, 2025
Second (traditional) round of submissions
- Abstract submission: April 8, 2025 (recommended)
- Paper submission: April 11, 2025
- Notification of acceptance: May 16, 2025
- Revised version due: May 30, 2025
- Camera ready due: June 6, 2025
- Graduate School: Jun 30 - Jul 1
- Conference: Jul 2 - Jul 4
All deadlines are at 23:59 UTC/GMT.
Paper submission via the Submission and Review Management (SRMv2) system: <https://srmv2.eg.org/COMFy/Conference/SGP2025_FP1> https://srmv2.eg.org/COMFy/Conference/SGP2025_FP1

EuroVis 2025: Call for workshops
https://www.eurovis2025.lu/for-submitters/workshops
We solicit workshops related to all areas of visualization. These informal workshops in EuroVis provide a setting for participants to discuss advanced topics in visualization, involve experts in the field, disseminate work in progress, and promote new ideas. Workshops at EuroVis are open to all registered attendees (“invitation only” workshops will not be approved).
Important Dates
* Proposal Submission Monday, November 11, 2024
* Notification Monday, November 25, 2024
All deadlines are at 11:59 pm (23:59) AoE Anywhere on Earth (AoE)<https://time.is/Anywhere_on_Earth>.
Workshops should:
* Emphasize emerging ideas, concepts, or technologies that are currently too nascent or too interdisciplinary for a full symposium;
* Encourage information flow not solely from the presenters to the audience but rather engage the participation of all attendees, for example, through collective or small group discussions.
Possible topics may include emerging or persisting problems, developing research agendas, networking to find common interests and possibilities for cooperation, interacting with domain experts involving analysis of their domain problems, etc.
When choosing workshop topics to propose, please consider pre-approved workshops and try to avoid large overlaps:
* EGPGV
* EuroVA
Note that workshops remain extremely well attended, but as new associated events and publication formats are introduced to EuroVis, the number of submitted papers may drop from previous years. So, a more interactive format (rather than one based mainly on presentations of submitted papers) is encouraged.
Submission requirements
Workshop proposals should include:
* a title,
* the contact details of the organizers,
* a brief description of the organizers’ background, related publications, and research,
* the planned activities (e.g., mainly talks, mainly interactive sessions, a mix), including an outline schedule for the program—workshops are strongly encouraged, though not required, to consider ways to engage all participants interactively,
* the intended result and impact of the workshop,
* a brief justification for why this workshop is necessary (e.g., why would the topic benefit from a more informal setting, in what ways is the topic emergent or a relatively poor fit for the main conference program, etc.),
* a chosen measure for a successful CFP (e.g., number of submissions), possibly including an outline for a “backup policy” (e.g., changing the workshop format or voluntarily withdrawing the workshop before acceptance notification is sent, but should not require the workshop organizers to submit emergency papers to their own workshop),
* a statement of the organization and the development of the list of participants (intended size, detailed selection procedures, and timeline for finalizing workshop presenters),
* a list of any special technology needed,
* the number of poster slots requested, if the workshop intends to feature posters, and
* the proposed dates for the call for participation, author notification, and camera-ready deadlines (author notification must be before the early registration deadline for EuroVis; for inclusion of materials in the EG digital library and/or the downloadable proceedings, the camera-ready deadline must be 4 weeks prior to the conference).
Because the number of workshop time slots is limited, half-day workshop proposals are strongly encouraged. However, well-justified full-day proposals will also be considered. Full-day proposals may optionally state what changes would be implemented to allow the workshop schedule to fit within a half day.
If the proposed workshop is a follow-up of a previous workshop, please include a critical reflection of the prior workshop(s), including a discussion of the results and evidence of impact.
The proposal should not exceed four pages. Please use the template file from https://www.eurovis2025.lu/fileadmin/files/egPublStyle-EuroVis_full-short-s…
Attendance
At least one author for each paper must register and attend the conference in person.
Evaluation criteria
The workshops aim to include various topics and a healthy mix of new and recurring events. Repeat submissions will be partially judged by the previous workshop's success. Workshop success will be judged subjectively, but popularity, research impact, visibility, and attendee feedback will all be considered. Specifically, the workshop proposals will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
* The potential for inspiring people, being influential, and opening new lines of research,
* The degree to which the workshop provides a more interactive environment for participants—all things being equal, preference will be given to workshops that emphasize participant interaction,
* The coherence of the proposed topic and the degree to which it would benefit from a workshop environment,
* The ability to attract people and make them excited about the workshop,
* The appropriateness with respect to EuroVis topics,
* If this workshop has special needs, the feasibility of the proposed plan, including financial, logistics, scheduling, and coordination impact, is also important.
The workshop chairs will balance the proposed topics to support the diversity of topics within EuroVis and complement the main program.
Organizers should consider what steps they will take to encourage diverse participants in their workshop (e.g., a balance of experience, background, gender, etc.) to make participation as inclusive as possible.
If accepted, workshops are required to prepare a short summary (50–100 words) for the workshop website and the web program.
Workshop Support
The workshop organizers will receive the following support from the EuroVis conference:
* One complimentary 1-day registration for an invited speaker,
* Room and AV support suitable for around 50 attendees,
* Food and beverages for attendees: coffee breaks throughout the day, Sunday evening opening reception, space in the poster display area, if requested (from a limited pool set aside for standard workshops; available space depends on the specifics of the venue; early requests given priority over late requests),
* PCS (Precision Conference Solutions) support for managing submissions and the review process,
* EuroGraphics Digital Library publication of the workshop proceedings, if requested (considered archival).
Note that each workshop participant will need to register to attend the EuroVis conference.
