[General] VisGames: Workshop on Visualization Play, Games, and Activities – Submission Deadline Extended to March, 21st

We are pleased to announce an extension of the submission deadline for the VisGames 2025 Workshop, collocated with EuroVis 2025. Website: https://visgames2025.netlify.app/ The VisGames workshop aims to advance the role of data visualization games and playful activities as effective methods for communication, co-creation, and collaborative problem-solving in interdisciplinary research and professional contexts. The workshop will highlight innovative applications of visualization games beyond educational settings, emphasizing their potential to foster dialogue, facilitate shared understanding, and inspire novel solutions. Updated Submission Deadline 📅 Extended Abstracts Due: March 14, 2025 March 23, 2025 (11:59 PM AoE) 📢 Author Notification: April 16, 2025 📑 Camera-Ready Submission: May 2, 2025 The half-day workshop will include a combination of an opening session, hands-on World Café-style sessions, and a concluding discussion to explore the design, implementation, and impact of visualization games. We invite researchers, practitioners, and educators to submit extended abstracts (2–6 pages in CGF style) presenting empirical studies, theoretical perspectives, novel game designs, or practical applications related to visualization and gamification. Submissions will undergo peer review by at least two program committee members and one workshop organizer.
