Suitable applicants should have a background in visualization, human-computer interaction, and/or computer graphics and very good programming skills. The successful candidate will conduct research on novel visualization methods with considerable freedom on the specific topic and support teaching at the Chair of Visual Analytics, primarily in the Master's program "Visual and Intelligent Systems" (solid German needed). Current research projects are related to visual storytelling and immersive analytics in medical contexts. The successful candidate will work on Project "iVMorph - Interactive Visual Metamorphosis for Multi-view Data Exploration", whose goal is to link multiple heterogeneous visual representations of multi-faceted data via smooth animated transitions.
