There is an open position as Scientific Coordinator [Post-Doc] at the Research Network Data Science @ Uni Vienna [1]

Full time position, 3 years, starting 1 Jan 2024 Application deadline: 7 December 2023

Primary duty is to foster collaborations between the research network and partners in data science, such as NGOs, governments, and companies.

Responsibilities include contributing to the development of Data Science programmes, engaging in research, publishing, fundraising for projects, teaching, administrative tasks, and potentially focusing on various data science areas like machine learning, data mining, and applications across different fields.

The candidate holds a completed doctoral/PhD in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related fields like data science, business analytics, or digital humanities. They have strong publication track, C1-level English proficiency, adept teamwork, perseverance, and a proactive work ethic. Driven by securing external funding, and pursuing interdisciplinary research, they possess leadership skills for mentoring students, organizational prowess, fundraising experience, and a teaching/workshop background. Familiarity with university structures, expertise in e-learning, and exceptional communication further define them as a collaborative team member.
