Dear colleague,
we would like to bring to your attention that the deadline for the first
call for EuroVis State-of-the-Art Reports is slowly approaching.
The deadline for submissions is 24th of January 2014 and the submission
through the <http://www.precisionconference.com/~vgtc/>
www.precisionconference.com/~vgtc/ has now been opened. More details on the
submission process are posted on the dedicated webpage:
<http://eurovis.swansea.ac.uk/submission-guidelines.htm>
http://eurovis.swansea.ac.uk/submission-guidelines.htm.
We welcome all areas of basic visualization research and also surveys from
interesting visualization application areas. The submission should be an
advanced draft of the report, between 10-20 pages long in the Eurographics
formatting style. The report should be original unpublished material,
although its basis can be a state-of-the-art chapter of a recent
Dissertation, for example.
For more information about the formatting guidelines, please refer to the
dedicated webpage:
<http://eurovis.swansea.ac.uk/author-guidelines.htm>
http://eurovis.swansea.ac.uk/author-guidelines.htm.
Please note that although we have taken Eurographics STAR Track as the basis
for designing the EuroVis STAR Track, there are two notable
differences:
1. Full Length Submission: Unlike with Eurographics STARs (which are
typically extended abstracts as an option), EuroVis STARs submissions are
expected to be an advanced draft of the report.
2. Open Peer Review Process: The authors of the reports as well as the
report reviewers will be disclosed during the transparent reviewing process.
Moreover, accepted STARs will list the names of the expert reviewers of the
reports.
We are looking forward to your submission to the first EuroVis STAR track!
Best wishes from,
Rita Borgo, Ross Maciejewski, and Ivan Viola EuroVis STAR Chairs
