The Computer Graphics Group at Bielefeld University, Germany, is offering a two-year full-time post-doc position in the field of Geometric Learning, starting as soon as possible. In a collaboration with the Honda Research Institute Europe we investigate novel geometry representations for describing 3D models with few, but geometrically meaningful parameters. By combining this representation with machine learning we will analyze and manipulate families of geometric models, for instance to transfer the style of one class of objects to another class. The candidate will work at Bielefeld University most of the time, but will also have the opportunity to spend several weeks per year at the Honda Research Institute Europe (in Offenbach, near Frankfurt) in order to intensify the collaboration and to gain insight into their research environment and scientific challenges.
