**** Please accept our apologies if you receive multiple copies of this CFP **** ============================================================================== *ICAT-EGVE 2026 :: Call for Papers* September 30th to October 2nd, 2026 | Goiânia, Brazil https://icat-egve2026.inf.ufg.br/ ============================================================================== image.png The* ICAT-EGVE 2026 <https://icat-egve2026.inf.ufg.br/>* conference will be held between *September 30th and October 2nd, 2026*, at the *Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG), Goiânia, Brazil. *The ICAT-EGVE is the merger of the 36th International Conference on Artificial Reality and Telexistence (ICAT 2026) and the 31st Eurographics Symposium on Virtual Environments (EGVE 2026). Together, these are two of the oldest international conferences in the world on Artificial Reality and Virtual Environments. This year ICAT-EGVE will be colocated with three conferences organized by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC): 28th Symposium on Virtual and Augmented Reality (SVR <https://svr.sbc.org.br/2026>); 39th Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images (SIBGRAPI <https://sibgrapi.sbc.org.br/2026>), and 25th Brazilian Symposium on Games and Digital Entertainment (SBGames <https://sbgames.org/sbgames2026>). *Important Dates (All times: AoE)* Paper (Short and Full): * *Abstract Submission Deadline:* *_May 25th, 2026 (Title and abstract deadline)_* * *Paper Submission Deadline:* May 31st, 2026 (Full submission deadline) * *Paper Submission Notification:* July 15th, 2026 * *Paper Camera Ready Deadline:* August 15th, 2026 * *Conference:* September 30th and October 2nd, 2026 *Submissions* We invite the submission of Papers, Posters, and Demonstrations describing novel research ideas, work in progress, recently completed work, preliminary results, or unusual systems and applications. ICAT-EGVE 2026 seeks inspiring submissions describing research, applications, or systems in all areas of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, Telexistence, and 3D User Interfaces, e.g., the following non-exhaustive list of more specific areas: * 3D interaction for VR/AR/MR * VR/AR/MR systems and toolkits * User studies and evaluation for VR/AR/MR * Telexistence, Telepresence, and Teleimmersion * Haptics, audio, and other non-visual modalities * Serious games and edutainment using VR/AR/MR * Presence, cognition, perception, and embodiment in VR/AR/MR * Novel devices (both input and output) for VR/AR/MR, and haptics * Multi-user and distributed VR/AR/MR, Tele-immersion, and Telepresence * Immersive projection technologies and other advanced display technologies Submissions in other related areas are welcome too. *Submission Guidelines* The following are the guidelines for the submission of full and short papers: * Full papers must not exceed eight (8) pages in length (excluding references). * Short papers must not exceed four (4) pages in length (excluding references). * Both full and short papers must be in English and should be formatted using the Eurographics format. * ICAT-EGVE uses a double-blind review process. Therefore, submissions should not contain information (including citations and optional videos) that unnecessarily identifies the authors or their institutions or places of work. All papers must be submitted electronically as a PDF. Authors are encouraged to submit videos to aid the program committee in the review of their submissions. * The conference uses the EG submission tool. All submissions should be made through the online submission system SRMv2 <https://srmv2.eg.org/COMFy/Conference/ICAT-EGVE_2026>. * Submissions should be original, unpublished work and should not be in submission to other venues concurrently. For details, please see the Call for Posters and Demos on the website. *Review and Publication* * All accepted Papers/Posters/Demos will be published in the *Eurographics Digital Library* and presented interactively at the conference. * All papers will be Gold Open Access <https://www.eg.org/wp/eurographics-publications/>, and are Plan-S compliant <https://www.coalition-s.org/>. * All Papers/Posters/Demos submissions will undergo a double-blind review process and be selected by the responsible chairs for presentation at the conference based on the reviews. * Upon acceptance, the camera-ready version of the submission will be included in the electronic proceedings, provided potential reviewer comments are appropriately addressed. * A selection of the *best papers at ICAT-EGVE 2026* will be invited to submit an extended version (for peer review) in a Special Section to the Computers & Graphics journal <https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/computers-and-graphics> after the conference. *Venue and organization* Goiânia, the capital of Goiás, is a vibrant and welcoming city strategically located in the heart of Brazil.
