Dear colleagues,
The ICGI 2023 – International Conference on Graphics and Interaction – corresponds to the 30th conference promoted by the Eurographics Portuguese Chapter. The conference started in the late 80's as a small symposium and has grown in importance each year.
The Special Section on Recent Advances in Graphics and Interaction, in the Computers & Graphics Journal, is an alternative track for paper submission to ICGI 2023, each with its own set of deadlines. Papers submitted to this track are expected to present mature and novel research results and all accepted papers are scheduled for oral presentation at the event.
This Special Section is dedicated to the latest and promising research related to interaction techniques, computer graphics, and its applications, including software, hardware, visualization, and games. It covers the areas of Computer Graphics, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Information Visualization, Human-Computer Interaction, as well as related fields such as Virtual and Augmented Reality, Modelling, Rendering, Digital Arts, and Information Visualization.
In preparing your submission, please follow the submission guidelines for the Computers & Graphics Journal, as detailed in the instructions for authors available at https://www.editorialmanager.com/cag/. Ensure that you read and follow the instructions carefully before uploading your submission. Please select “VSI: RAGI 2023” in the “Article Type” step in the submission process.
All submissions will be fully peer-reviewed by at least three experts according to the standards of Computers & Graphics. Authors of accepted papers will have to present their work at the International Conference on Graphics and Interaction 2023 (https://gpcg.pt/icgi2023/).

Call for Papers - IMET 2023
The 3rd International Conference on Interactive Media, Smart Systems and Emerging Technologies (IMET 2023) – Technically Co-Sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society will be held in Barcelona on 4-6 October 2023. IMET 2023 is organized by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and the CYENS Centre of Excellence.
The conference is dedicated to the exploration of current practices in the use of emerging and interactive technologies. The interdisciplinary research topics presented and discussed at IMET render it a rather unique venue that promotes a dearly needed blend of technology and applied research. Given the very distinct needs and methodologies of these both fields, the conference ensures that the presentation and discussion of results is accessible to both audiences, allows for fruitful discussion and exchange, and still has great scientific value allowing to promote your latest work in a welcoming mindset. We further offer post-conference invitations to the best submissions for inclusion in special journal issues, and includes educational researchers.
IMET has been created in 2021 as the flagship conference of CYENS Centre of Excellence ( <http://www.cyens.org.cy/> http://www.cyens.org.cy). CYENS constitutes a centre of excellence and a joint venture between the three public universities of Cyprus (University of Cyprus, Cyprus University of Technology and Open University of Cyprus), the Municipality of Nicosia, the Max Planck Institute for Informatics (Germany) and University College London (UK).
Best papers will be selected for publication at Computers & Graphics journal (with a 30% extension).

Submission
Accepted papers must be presented orally in English at IMET 2023. This event uses a triple-blind reviewing approach, so please be sure to remove all personal data (such as authors, affiliations, funding, etc.) from your submission. References to your own work should be made in the third person to maintain anonymity. Reviewers are asked to keep confidential all materials sent to them for evaluation. Non-anonymous submissions will be rejected without review. One registered participant may present up to two papers but each accepted paper, or poster, with multiple co-authors should have a different conference registrant.
Electronic submission of all papers is mandatory and will be conducted using the <https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=imet2023> Easy Chair system. Papers must be written in English, must be anonymized, and must be formatted according to <https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html> IEEE standards (A4 template) (regardless of category). IMET accepts 4 types of papers: full papers (8 pages), short papers (4 pages), poster papers (2 pages) and demo papers (2 pages), including references. Authors should ensure that their paper fits within the specified length for their submission track, including references. They should make sure that the work is original and checked through their institution’s plagiarism software/account (i.e. Turnitin).
All authors will be notified of paper acceptance after the reviewing period is finished. There is no rebuttal process. Successful submissions will be asked to carefully review their paper and make any minor modifications requested by reviewers, before uploading the camera-ready version. All papers will be checked for plagiarism by the reviewers.

Dear Colleague,
We are pleased to announce the *IGS'23 Call for Posters* (
https://igs2023.imati.cnr.it/igsposter.html).
The *International Geometry Summi**t 2023* (IGS’23) will host the following
five conferences:

Title: Enhancing Workspace and User Awareness in Asymmetric XR Collaboration
Keywords: Collaboration, radiance fields, interaction techniques, avatar,
awareness
Abstract: Due to the difficulty to ensure free exploration for remote
collaborators, workspace awareness still remains an open problem, and it is
typically supported either by virtual replicas/reconstructions or video
feeds. However, with the appearance of radiance field rendering methods such
as Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) or more efficient point-based solutions,
real-time and high-fidelity reconstruction of physical workspaces are
becoming possible. This PhD will leverage fast radiance-field methods, and
avatar representations to enable efficient collaboration in XR asymmetric
configurations, ensuring workspace and user awareness.

Dear all,
The GraphDeco group at Inria Université Côte d'Azur (France) is looking for a postdoc candidate to start in fall on the topic of "Visual program induction for sketch-based graphics design".
The goal of the project is to help graphics designers create reusable data visualizations by sketching. To do so, we plan to build on recent progress in neurosymbolic programming to convert hand-drawn sketches into parametric shapes suitable for data visualization. The topic is thus at the frontier of computer graphics (procedural modeling, sketch-based modeling) and machine learning (program synthesis), and will be part of a collaborative project with experts in human-computer interaction and information visualization.
More details and references here: http://www-sop.inria.fr/members/Adrien.Bousseau/stages/sketch_viz.pdf
Interested candidates can directly contact me by email. I will also attend Eurographics where I would be happy to have a chat.
Best regards,
Adrien Bousseau
